    The aim of the project is to strengthen the employees in line with the data collected on the glass ceiling in the organization and the statements of female employees that they have difficulty in participating in male-dominated informal communication networks. The Project “Respect” started with the slogan of "Change for equal tomorrows" on January 3, 2022, with the training given to a pilot group consisting of male-female and white-blue-collar employees of the organization. It is planned to continue the same trainings every year until we include all personnel of the organization with the groups of employees who have received training and employees who will receive this training.

    The content of the training was prepared as a result of the brainstorming with senior management, corporate managers and academic advisors to support female employees to enter male-dominated communication networks and turn them into thought leaders, and it was envisaged that female employees should have the speaking skill that can initiate any conversation; agreed that the development of thinking skills would be the precursor of change, so that thought leaders could emerge in the organization and female personnel could join informal communication networks and even affect and change the views of other members of the group.

    In this context, training on "Creative Thinking” was provided by the academic advisor in the group during the interviews, and the pilot group received training on advanced thinking techniques such as Matrix thinking and reverse brainstorming.

    Within the scope of the "The Project on Corporate Transformation in terms of Gender Equality", put into effect in January 2022 based on the cooperation between the university and industry, the data on the glass ceiling effect was collected, and it is aimed to transform employees as though leaders to support them when they experience difficulty in participating in informal communication networks, which appears as a problem area according to the perceptions of the employees of the organization. In the training on the art of conversation, examples of famous speakers in the world were given (Churchil, Nehru, Caesar's friend Antuan, Cicero etc.) and the characteristics that a good speaker should have, were discussed through examples. In the 5-step conversation training, it was stated that the most difficult one was 5-minute speech, and the participants were asked to present the ideas they developed in 5 minutes. The participants in the training are first explained what creative thinking is with various of examples. It has been explained that creative thinking is the ability to establish an unknown kind of relationship between two known concepts, and that everything in the universe is somehow related to each other, but only those who think and question can reveal these seemingly invisible relationships.Participants were asked to share the ideas they developed in the previous lesson in front of the community and the training on art of conversation was given and they were asked to apply the format to their speech.

    In the region, there is no other textile factory or project that organizes creative thinking and speaking trainings and ensuring them to take stage and appear in the press with the aim of transforming its employees into thought leaders and that can be pointed out as a precedent or provides service in different fields through University-Industry cooperation with PAU Teknokent.In the past, employees did not have the opportunity to present their own ideas to inspire others after a training they received.

    The Project is extremely valuable for traditional societies that are waiting for a hero to save them from injustice and inequity as it gives the opportunity for the individuals working in an organization having 400 employees in Denizli OSB/Turkey to become heroes and transform as thought leaders, including the most senior and the most inexperienced ones by lifting the veil over the ideas

    Having made the presentations, employees had the chance to see themselves in press releases for the first time. Starting to work at the age of 44 after 22 years, primarily to set an example for her 4 daughters, Derya Semerci made her voice heard not only to her daughters, but also to her audience in the hall with her inspiring speech.

    The project has already turned into a source of motivation for the employees in the organization to participate in creative thinking and speaking trainings and to take the stage, and as they state, they have started to develop ideas right away.

    The project was highly welcomed and featured in the press. Interviews were made with the top executives of the organization and the videos were broadcast in a channel that can be watched by other organizations in the Denizli Organized Industrial Zone, and especially the remarks of the female board member of the organization about the project reached three times the audience compared to their peers in the printed media.
