The year 2020 was special, hit by Covid-19 situation bringing many unexpected situations. Besides all HR daily operation, that had to be quickly adjusted and transferred to anew online world, our passionate HR successfully implemented a lot of transformational projects. So, let us introduce the most impactful ones.

The Covid-19 situation forced alot of companies to stop hiring. Fortunately, we did not have to stop. In the year 2020, we arranged 80+ external new hires, and 120+ internal moves. We implemented Job Model that brought a transparent overview of the currently existing positions in the company and shows most likely career paths. In the area of hiring, we successfully implemented Hire Vue platform, that helps us to evaluate various competencies of the candidates and find the most suitable ones for the specific roles.

First days on anew position may be abit daunting to every new employee, and therefore we decided to launch new onboarding guide - Appical. Thanks to the energy in the content of digitized preboarding & onboarding, it helps our newcomers feel welcomed, involved, and motivated before joining the company by introducing the company and corporate culture. It also connects the new hire with their manager and buddy prior to their start.

Our HR understand the strong connection between the employee´s motivation, training, and performance. So, despite the Covid-19 situation, we brought changes in all three areas.

Thanks to the change of the form of our trainings to digital, we arranged that 500+ employees were trained in soft and hard skill areas by our external vendors, from the safety of their home. In 2020 we moreover brought new learning experience platform with access to SkillSoft content and digital trainings from world top universities - Percipio and Coursera. Employees got access to wide portfolio of trainings that are time flexible and easily accessible.

We continued with the processes and our employee’s satisfaction was supported by variable pay and salary review that were successfully realized remotely despite the pandemic situation. In addition, we paid out the special Covid-19 bonus of 500 EUR to every employee by the end of the year.

We introduced our new portfolio of discounts at affiliated partners that may be nominated by our employees.

In relation to the performance, we implemented a brand-new performance management process linked to talent and succession management – Lead2Win. It brings the opportunity for 360° feedback and self-evaluation, offers various immediate feedback options, and empowers employees to take ownership of their development.

In 2020 we realized that the digitalization is more important than ever, so our we implemented DocuSign that eliminates the need for door-to-door signature collection and document printing. We started with processes such as Exit checklist and Voluntary salary deductions.

We also welcomed anew, virtual member of our HR team - HeRmione. HeRmione is a chatbot who speaks English and answers HR questions in the areas of benefits, hiring, open positions, processes, guidelines and tools, attendance, trainings, and more. HeRmione saves both employee´s and our time - employee may just ask her and she answers immediately. Furthermore, we successfully launched ournew intranet HR4U that provides all HR information at one place. The page is divided into sections of employee lifecycle, so employees can easily find what they are looking for. It has never been so easy to find what the employee needs!
