The Emirates International Endurance Village (EIEV) is one of the region’s most impressive and biggest venues for Endurance Horse Rides events and aims to become the best global destination in organizing inspiring endurance races with innovation and highest international standards.
Guided by the vision of its President, H.H. Sheikh Mansour Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Minister of Presidential Affairs-UAE, the EIEV was inaugurated in 2005, and now attracting stables around the world in unmatched facilities occupying 339,941.32 m². (Attachment)
Despite the impact of the pandemic, the participated horses in season 2021 reached 1612 in 11 races, including Abu Dhabi Festival for Ladies, Private Owners Cup, and the National Day Cup, is with a total value of prizes amounted AED 41,374,685 ($11,273,756.00).
In August 2019 we planned and built our own Mobile Application, completely in-house, with high degree of innovation and customization, with the aim of developing a state of the art App in Endurance Rides. The innovation has been named ‘EIEV Mobile App for Horses Endurance Ride’ and has been updated in April 2022.

The EIEV team developed EIEV Mobile Application’ - the first Interactive App in the Horses Endurance Races, with the aim to be interactive and integrated with the current innovative Automated Timing System to offer the people an informative, efficient, and friendly platform where they can interact with the EIEV endurance sport events.
Aside from showcasing the application to the whole world, the goal of the application was also to help the people interact during the event, particularly the owners, trainers, and athletes to be knowledgeable about their current performance and ranking status wherever they are in or outside the venue.
The mobile application was created and built using Flutter, JavaScript, PHP serve as frontend; Laravel, Firebase, MySQL serve as the backend; and PlayStore, AppleStore serve as the digital distribution platform to be accessible to everyone.
EIEV App contents include;
- Side Menu; accessing the following information; User profile. EIEV Website Link, Contact us, and Notifications.
- Home Page; easy access to all features in the application, including media outlets and sponsors, event’s information (live, upcoming, and results), and archive records (Horses, Riders, Gallery, and Calendar).
- Ride Page; displaying all information of the ride including; (Live, Start list, Gates, Followed, Systems voting), Display live status of all athletes ordered by their rank,
- Athlete Result page; Displays detailed athlete result.
- Horse Page; Displays list of all horses, can navigate and view once a horse is tapped, and displays all rides participated by the horse and the performance details
- Riders Page; displays list of all riders, can navigate and view more details once a rider is tapped, and displays all rides participated by the rider and the performance details.
- Gallery Page; Displays images filtered by events, Scrollable by up and down, and can zoom in and out image once it is tapped.
- Calendar Page; Display events schedule, navigate events scheduled once it is tapped, and filter a list of schedules to specific countries once it is tapped.

One of the critical requirements in Horses Endurance Rides that EIEV App provides is the capacity to provide stakeholders with quick, accurate and up-to-date information about the progress of the race, including the participations, safety of horses, and results.
The Innovative App brought outstanding benefits and impact, including;
- Speed up access to EIEV information and results of races: - With the presence of the Internet and modern technologies, the general public around the world can access the information at high speed and accuracy, through a smartphone application of capacity.
- Meeting the needs of publishing the results of races, athletes and horse information, and even pre-race procedures
- Availability of statistics to enable all stakeholders to analyse and improve performance, in addition to spreading awareness of the sport of ability
- In view of absence of personal guide for the athletes during the race, the smart app provides interactive platform with the jockey and guide him/her throughout the race to focus on the performance and commitment to the full time without referring to the jury and officials.
- Reducing the number of issues and disputes due to the fact that many requests from the participants could not be met in a short time. The EIEV App. provides all the necessary information instantly to the participants.
