    BACKGROUND

    Launched last June 2021, Globe Managed Detection and Response (MDR) provides enterprise customers with local Security Operations Center (SOC) services that deliver 24x7x365 security monitoring and investigation through Globe’s partnership with Yondu and Secureworks. 

    As Globe local SOC, Yondu provides threat detection and threat hunting that involve continuously monitoring client assets to look for specific indicators of compromise and make decisions in terms of threat prioritization and threat investigation.

    More than protecting enterprises against cyber threats, Globe MDR allows business leaders to expand and continue operations without fear.

    FEATURES GLOBE MDR has several functionalities and capabilities including:

    Customer Onboarding, Training, and Setup Deployment Advisor and the Onboarding Manager guide the Customer on how to set up the endpoint agent, conduct enablement training, and assist in the transition to operation

    24x7 Access to Security Analyst Security analysts are available 24x7 through the Extended Detection and Response (XDR)  Application chat or ticket system, or through telephone.

    Threat Detection, Hunting, Analysis, and Response Continuous collection of assets logs with security analytics through the platform, enables the SOC team to handle proactive hunting, indicators of compromise (IOC) detection and investigations . It also enables correlation analysis and prioritization as soon as the platform has captured and flagged potential threats. The SOC team then performs supported threat response actions on behalf of the customer, after authorization from customer, based on recommendations from Innove and its Authorized Partner within XDR Application.

    Remote Incident Response Globe provides up to 40 hours of remote Incident Response assistance to customers, which includes:

    • Security incident support and coordination
    • Digital media handling guidance and support
    • Analysis for both on-premises and cloud infrastructure for host data, network data, malicious code, log data, and cyber threat intelligence
    • Response status reporting and action item tracking
    • Response findings and recommendations reporting
    • Response support with customer and through customer, with other third parties
    • Remediation planning guidance

    Platform Monitoring  The Platform Manager monitors the Customer’s asset and will also monitor the customer's platform performance. 

    Service Reports The customer will receive a monthly threat detection and operation report from the Service Manager, containing the number  of monitored assets, security alerts and detected incidents, number of open, closed and aging tickets.

    Threat Intelligence & Threat Engagement Manager (Add-on Services) XDR  Application Threat Intelligence is where the customer network and endpoint telemetry is continually compared against network, endpoint, and behavioral indicators to identify threats within customer’s IT environment. The Threat Engagement Manager (TEM), then reviews and recommends continuous improvements to Customer’s security posture and meets customers each quarter in a Security Protection Review (SPR) to review program goals and notable activity in XDR Application and recommend improvements.

    Globe launched their Cybersecurity ad with a video that was received well and garnered 1.8 million views across different social media platforms. It detailed the products’ different features and how it secures not just your systems but also the outcome of your business. 

    Since its launch the product has contributed a total of +PhP 11Mn in recurring revenues that helped Cybersecurity portfolio beat its 2021 business targets with a total of 1,286 endpoints being managed from three major Enterprise Accounts to date namely:

    1. Energy Utilities Company Globe MDR Win (2021)

    One of the largest business groups and fastest growing energy companies in the Philippines has ~US$2 billion of invested and committed equity in renewable and thermal energy in the country and around the region.
