Jeunesse Chief Marketing Officer Mark Patterson has learned if you give someone a month to complete a project, it will take them a month, but if you give them two days, they’ll finish it in two days. This mindset is why it’s no surprise Mark has built and leads a marketing team that has garnered more awards than any other company in the direct selling industry.

Fueled by success—and Starbucks—Mark is a frequent flyer and a fast-flying executive who shoots for the moon but is completely down-to-earth. Self-described as a life enthusiast, his love for life and all things marketing is a magnet for his team, who attribute their work ethic and company loyalty to his charismatic leadership style. With an iconic “uniform” of a suit jacket, black T-shirt, jeans, and sneakers, his entire marketing team has even been known to follow suit and dress just like him.

Despite leading nearly three dozen employees, he’s always a call or text away for his copywriters, graphic designers, photographers, videographers, web designers, project managers, digital marketers, event planners, and brand managers. Mark has directed this team of diverse talent to create a billion-dollar global brand identity at Jeunesse.

While 2020 was a year no one could have imagined, Mark did reimagine how the Jeunesse marketing team operates. His first priority was his people, moving his entire staff from working in-house to working from their houses. His second priority was the business, which thrives on events.

Because he thinks and works fast, his team does, too. Within 30 days, his team constructed Jeunesse LIVE, a global events platform designed to connect people virtually. The platform supports simultaneous translations in up to 21 languages at any one time, which has helped the company reach 2.7 million people—more people than ever before!

In addition to creating Jeunesse LIVE, Mark led his team in world-class product development. In 2020 alone, he conceptualized and oversaw the launch of 20 new product concepts with award-winning branding and marketing assets, as well as localized another 20 products for global market distribution.

Jeunesse not only launched AlōClnz Hand Sanitizer when the world had a shortage, but also launched products that have been selected as finalists in five categories of the 2021 Pure Beauty Global Awards:

The Year 2020 showed what a difference even 30 days with Mark as Chief Marketing Officer makes. With year-over-year growth for Jeunesse in many markets around the world, a quick-thinking launch of a virtual events platform, and double-digit product launches, Mark is working tirelessly to achieve the Jeunesse mission of making a positive impact in the world.

Recent achievements:

-Led his marketing team to drive 2020 cumulative sales to $8 billion worldwide with 25-84% growth in established markets: Hungary, Germany, Malaysia, Italy, and the U.S.
-Conceptualized and launched category-creating products, including E·VŌK Fragrances, AlōClnz Hand Sanitizer, Alōmūn aloe drink, TruNu coffee, and more
-Directed his team to create JeunesseEvents.com, a global events platform designed to connect people virtually; under his leadership, transitioned more than 300 global events from in-person to online; reached 2.7 million people through the platform
-Helped Jeunesse garner more than 580 marketing awards since 2014
-Moved all marketing employees from in-office to remote work
