In 2014, Locus's co-foundersNishith Rastogi and Geet GargbuiltRideSafe, a real-time route deviation detection application designed for women's safety. They were both pleasantly surprised when food tech companies adoptedRideSafeto track their delivery fleets in early 2015. Delving a little deeper, Nishith and Garg realized the massive opportunity in unifying the logistics industry with automation.

Today, Locus is a future-ready technology platform that automates supply chain decisions. Oursmart logistics solutions enable enterprises to enhance operational efficiency, rein in costs, streamline the customer experience, and provide end-to-end visibility. This has resulted in over $100 millionsavings in logistics costs, 6300+tonnesreduction in GHG emissions, and 100+ years of savings in planning time across Locus's clients. Our clients include brandslike Nestle, Mondelez, Unilever,BigBasket,Bluedart,Bukalapak, The Tata Group, and many others.

Locuspowers deliveries across North America, Europe, Southeast Asia, Middle East, ANZ, and the Indian Subcontinent.

The primary objective of Locus’s solutions is to enable supply chain decision makers, helping them save time while reducing costs. Additionally, ourscalable technology solutions have resulted in a significant reduction of carbon emissions, positively impacting the environment.

In 2020 alone, wehelped save approximately 29.1M CO2 emissions (lbs) and 7.32M NO2 emissions (lbs), equivalent to around 18.4M trees. Additionally, with their Electronic Proof of Delivery (E-PoD), our solutions have eliminated the use of paper, saving another 8,000 trees.

Starting with the early days of the pandemic, Locus’s intelligent enterprise solutions played a critical role in helping organizations deliver essential items. Our solutions helped businesses transition to contactless deliveries, navigate the driver shortage by bringing in more optimization, and change delivery slots to meet demand.

Locus also helped clients test various ‘what-if’ scenarios during the pandemic. Clients could run test scenarios by using a digital twin, a component of our intelligent network optimization and design engine product called NodeIQ. A digital twin is a virtual replica of the client’s on-ground supply chain. For example, clients could test various warehouse locations. NodeIQhelps clients navigate supply chain network design queries with ease, enabling them to adapt to increasing supply chain volatility. Moreover, these processes now only take a few hours when theypreviously took weeks or months.

Using deep learning capabilities, Locus has built a truly geographic and industry agnostic SaaS product. Wecontinueto produce innovative new products and help our stakeholders achieve the best value.

With many businesses struggling to survive during the pandemic, it became critical to rehaul the way they operated in order to cope with supply chain volatility. Locus helped our clients continue to serve their customers while taking into consideration the elements at play, from driver shortages to the movement of goods. Leveraging Locus’s solutions, various ‘what-if’ scenarios were tested in a matter of hours to design successful supply chain networks. This allowed many businesses to plan their new operation strategy and network, enabling them to cater to increased customer demand amidst the lockdown.

Some of our customers’ clients, such asBigBasket, went through massive on-ground delivery personnel shortage and relied heavily on Locus to clear the backlog. They were able to scale the platform easily for the client, enabling them to cope with the increased dynamism in the market.

In addition to constraints that were affecting supply chain operations, businesses also had to ensure safe delivery to the end customers. Locus’s electronic proof-of-delivery system enabled their clients to adapt quickly and serve their customers in a safe manner through contactless deliveries.

Our platform takes into consideration the nuances and constraints of every region and industry. While numerous companies are limited in their technological capabilities to implement their solutions in multiple geographies, Locus’s advanced supply chain decision-making platform uses proprietary algorithms that can be implemented in any geography and industry. Locus’s deep-tech supply chain platform is truly global. This agile architecture drives higher adoption of the solution around the world.
