    The LAC Insider is Mastercard's internal newsletter for Latin America and the Caribbean (LAC). Designed to keep teams in the loop, disseminate regional news, and reinforce core aspects of the corporate culture, the newsletter reaches more than 1,200 employeesin the region every week. The Internal Communications team’s strategic objectives for 2021 demanded extremelyagile, attractive, and flexible internal communications. And of all the internal channels in the region, the LAC Insider was the best suited to accompany this evolution. The average open rate del LAC Insider up until May 2021 was 24%. The Internal Communications team decided it was time the LAC Insider took a real leap forward, and set a new goal: to reach an average open rate of 50%. To achieve the proposed objective, five key assessment factors were defined as guiding pillars of a nine-and-a-half week systematized work plan.  As a result, by September 2021 the readership of the LAC Insider had increased by 150%, a growth that was sustained for the rest of the year (and continues to date). This indicator showed that the LAC Insider had evolved into a high-impact internal channel, key to supporting the objectives and strategy of LAC's Internal Communications area.
