The first release of Etimad launched in January 2018, and in the years 2019, 2020 many new versions released, were added many new services and roll it out for 450 government entities.

The National Center for Government Resource Systems (NCGR) was established based on the Council of Ministers to convert the National Systems Agency at the Ministry of Finance into an independent center called (The National Center for Government Resources Systems). Which is concerned with providing solutions and services for managing and planning government resources through unified and integrated systems, which benefit all of the government sectors, the private sector, government employees and individuals, and financial institutions.

Etimad is the approved e-platform for the government financial services provided to various government entities and the private sector, in order to enable digital transformation, transparency and efficiency in all government financial services.

Etimad has 6 main products, which are Procurement and bidding management, Contract and awarding management, payment management, Budget management, employees’ financial rights management and revenue management. Each product have a set of e-services

Etimad as an e-platform takes into accounts all stakeholders including all government entities in partnership with private sectors to restructure the financial dealings between all parties. Etimad opens the opportunity for the private sector to communicate with each government entities they are dealing with in transparency through the portal. By utilizing Etimad e-services, all procedures undergo optimization phases, which result in optimized electronic solutions that ultimately replace the hand-written papers and procedures that were commonplace. The goal of this modern vision will add to the Saudi government’s progress of adapting electronic services to the majority of its entities.

The platform has completely changed the financial industry in Saudi, in terms of the following:
