    Through PROJECT TOWER, PLDT and Smart aim to:
    - inform key stakeholders on the evolution, benefits, and safety of mobile technology and;
    - produce an AVP to help educate the group’s target publics.

    Amid the COVID-19 pandemic, PLDT and Smart sustained network expansion to address the increasingly digital needs of Filipinos. However, relentless infrastructure rollout, has also brought to the fore health and safety concerns on cell sites and towers. PLDT and Smart conducted virtual internal knowledge sessions that covered information on telco radiofrequencies, government regulations on radiofrequencies and cell sites, and the safety of cell site infrastructures. The business invited esteemed experts to discuss specific topics on which the content of the video was founded, including Dr. Ken Karipidis of ARPANSA, Dr. Johanna Patricia Cañal, MD, MHA, MSC of Asian Hospital and Medical Center, Ms. Gladys Cabrera of FDA DOH, and Christer Törnevik of Ericsson Sweden. Recognizing that the target publics of PLDT and Smart span the A to D markets, the group developed a communication material that is simple, digestible, and easily accessible for the audience. See video here: https://youtu.be/QT9VzI2P3MI

    At a time of social distancing, PLDT and Smart were able to produce an educational video fully virtually and remotely with the help of an external partner that managed the creation of the video. The video included stock photos, a hired voice over talent, and producers who continuously worked on the conceptualization, planning, and execution of the videos, all supported by regular online meetings between PLDT and Smart and the external partner. PLDT and Smart also tapped their respective social media channels to reach a wider audience. The video is also flexible enough to serve as a resource material for local and international forums.
