Turning Virtual Experiences into Tangible Decisions
Doctors ground diagnoses and treatment recommendations on evidence, using the most accurate information they can gather. People purchasing the multi-million dollar equipment that yields this evidence rely on it too – but ground their decisions in their experiences with companies to which they feel connected.
Siemens Healthineers (SH), a leading MedTech company that produces cutting-edge equipment, has long used events to strengthen relationships with the professionals who select the tools that put accurate information into doctors’ hands. Live events have always allowed customers to experience SH’s innovations and examine the evidence first-hand. As COVID-19 brought in-person industry events to a halt, SH knew it needed a virtual experience that would allow customers to experience its groundbreaking technology – while retaining the human touch.
Engaging Customers and Prospects
As administrators and healthcare professionals spend more and more time online, the competition for their attention becomes more intense, and efforts to engage them account for the distractions inherent in working remotely.
To entice customers to explore its new offerings, SH knew that making its imaging, diagnostics, and therapy equipment stand out would take more than just images. It would take an indelible, unforgettable experience. SH created the Shape 21 Forum, a one-hour video that premiered breakthrough innovations and shared forward-thinking ideas on the future of Healthcare from top SH executives, followed by the Shape 21 Experience simulated live event.
The Future Takes Shape
We set a high bar for our first virtual event; our goal was to secure 5,000 views of the Shape 21 Forum, register 5,000 attendees for the Shape 21 Experience, have 500 of those who registered attend an in-depth innovation talk, and generate at least 50 1:1 sales meetings.
Designed to simulate a feeling of “being there” through focused clinical pathways for experts in stroke, breast health, lung cancer, and COVID-19 resiliency, the 3-D Shape 21 Experience provided connections to experts with insights about clinical conditions, innovation, access to remote care and other topics shaping healthcare. It educated, engaged and empowered customers with multiple opportunities to learn more, attend expert presentations and product demonstrations, and explore interactive sales guides to answer questions as they virtually experience new SH equipment.
Making a thoroughly immersive experience showed how SH technology delivers health care information and connection. In 2020, access to care and digitalization were pressing issues facing providers worldwide; Shape 21 Experience showed how breakthroughs in connecting and engaging with patients digitally would help address these challenges in the years ahead.
Shape 21 provided an enduring and engaging opportunity for customers and prospects to experience how SH is shaping the future of healthcare. As healthcare increasingly digitalizes, the Shape 21 platform will continue to evolve to provide experiences that help the industry navigate these transformations while embedding the human touch in technology.
