In 2014, after moving to Switzerland and losing two jobs because of chronic pain, Sigrun took a leap and started her online business. Her dream was to be location-independent so that she could split her time between Iceland and Switzerland, travel the world and take care of her health.

Her mission is to accelerate gender equality through female entrepreneurship, and within two years, she built a successful multiple six-figure business helping women all over the world to start and scale their online business and achieve six- or seven-figure revenues.

After four years in business, Sigrun reached $3M in revenue and the business has grown to make a total of over $8M in 7 years.

Today, she is the leading business mentor for online women entrepreneurs in Europe, a TEDx speaker and host of the podcast The Sigrun Show with over 400 episodes.

Despite the COVID and thanks to her experience as a turnaround CEO, Sigrun has achieved her highest revenue in 2020 and in the process, helped countless women entrepreneurs not only to survive the crisis financially, but multiply their sales.

The company is set to reach $5M in 2021 and has 20 employees working from all over the world.

Sigrun GmbH was characterized by company growth, the continuous improvement of services and the support of women entrepreneurs during the Corona crisis. Some highlights are:

-A total revenue of $6M from January 1, 2019 to April 7, 2021 (after the total revenue since starting her online business in January 2014 up until December 2018 was $3M);
-As a result of an online marketing campaign, she reached 7-figures in sales within one month in January 2021;
-Sigrun helped over 500 women thrive during the Corona crisis (some of which made five figures within months);
-She started a fund with $50K to financially support women entrepreneurs during the Corona crisis;
-Sigrun developed a new online course with the aim of saving female entrepreneurs from ruin during the Corona pandemic and multiplying their sales thanks to taking their businesses online;
-She organised a free online summit where she led workshops and activities and invited international guest speakers for panel discussions. This event was free and attracted over 20,000 entrepreneurs;
-She was featured in Forbes and appeared in several publications
-Sigrun was a speaker at several conferences, including the career relaunch of the Executive School of Management, Technology and Law St. Gallen and EMEX, the largest Swiss marketing event;
-She has been a guest on numerous podcasts (including Eventual Millionaire, Business with Impact, The Entrepreneurial You);
-Her podcast The Sigrun Show reached half a million downloads and is regularly in the top 10 of the Apple Marketing Podcast Charts in Europe

Within seven years, Sigrun built up a 7-figure online coaching business, counting towards the 1.7% of companies run by women with a revenue exceeding one million, and created 12 jobs (in Europe, only 18% of women-run companies employ more than six people).

Her coaching programs support women worldwide to grow their own online business. Thanks to her experience as a turnaround CEO and her entrepreneurial acumen, Sigrun was able to achieve her highest revenue to date in 2020, despite the Corona pandemic. As a result of an online marketing campaign, she made $1M in sales in January alone.

Sigrun recognized the economic consequences of the pandemic early on and helped over 2000 women entrepreneurs not only to survive the crisis financially, but also to multiply their sales, securing numerous jobs. She set up a fund to provide financial support to women who were particularly struggling during the crisis.

Sigrun’s mission is to accelerate gender equality through female entrepreneurship. She planned an international conference – the Selfmade Summit – in 2020 to encourage women to take their success into their own hands. When the pandemic hit, Sigrun decided to set an example and postpone the conference to 2022 before governments and companies reacted to the crisis.

In order to support her community, she organized several free online events, workshops and activities over 20,000 women entrepreneurs took part in last year.
