Nomination Title: Pijar Sekolah: A Breakthrough Online Education Platform System during Pandemic

In order to support School Management in restarting teaching and learning activities during COVID-19 pandemic, Telkom Indonesia presents Pijar Sekolah which is an educational platform that contains various digital modules that help schools create integrated digital learning. There is an Information Management System module, a Digital Learning module, and an Exam module. Schools can easily manage and integrate information systems. Teachers can still carry out learning activities and take exams effectively online. Parents can also view exam and evaluation reports via the dashboard. With this platform, schools can be helped to stay active during the pandemic.

We are working with local parties in Garut, West Java. In the one-month trial phase, our local party introduced and implemented Pijar Sekolah training to schools. Their feedback gave us the idea to make some video tutorials on how to use and access features in Pijar Sekolah that can be accessed by the public on our social media. The goal is to create a video tutorial that can explain all the processes in a way that is simpler and easier for schools to understand.

In Garut this Collaboration showed a good result that 54 schools were implementing Pijar Sekolah. Telkom and West Java’s Ministry of Religion have signed an MoU with an estimated income of IDR 15 billion/year from 1.000 schools. Pijar Sekolah will make continuous improvement to be the best Online-based Learning Digital Platform.
