Turkish Aerospace  was incepted under the Ministry of Industry and Technology on June 28, 1973 to reduce Turkey’ foreign dependence in defense industry. Being among the top hundred global players in aviation and space industry, Turkish Aerospace is organized under six strategic business centers depending on the projects, including:

-       Structural Group,
-       Aircraft Group,
-       Helicopter Group
-       Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) Systems Group,
-       Space Systems Group,
-       National Fighter

In addition, integrated logistics support is provided for all products designed/manufactured by Turkish Aerospace. Turkish Aerospace, which has continuously grown its human resources since the day established and continued to grow while the world's biggest and important companies were shrinking under the conditions of the pandemic and global crisis. Continuing to grow as a family in line with its mission and vision, Turkish Aerospace maintains its export leadership by making export agreements with many countries around the world. The products -produced and developed by Turkish Aerospace- have an important place in the international arena and are in demand.

Turkish Aerospace;
- increased the number of human resources as engineers by 23% -from 9,700 to 12,000-.
- increased the number of intern engineers by %53 -from 1,500 to 2,800-.
- signed export agreements with Tunisia and Kazakhstan for ANKA (Unmanned Aerial Vehicle) and with Niger for HÜRKUŞ (Basic Trainer Aircraft) in 2021.
- delivered 2 ATAK (Attack Helicopter) to the Philippines.
- produced 70 ATAK in 2022 and the first part of MMU (Fighter Aircraft) in 2021.
- have reached the final stage in the production process of HÜRJET (Advanced Jet Trainer and Light Attack Aircraft). HÜRJET will make its first flight in 2023.

The Mediterranean coast of Turkey had to fight one of the largest fires of the last century last summer. AKSUNGUR (High Load Capacity Unmanned Aerial Vehicle) stayed in the air for 60 hours and played a vital role in extinguishing the fires in the Mediterranean region. According to the data of the Turkish Exporters Assembly, Turkish Aerospace has been the first in export since 2011. Also, were the first exporter in the "Defense and Aviation" category in 2011. In the last 10 years, Turkish Aerospace continues to grow by increasing exports by an average of 14.9% every year.

The uniqueness and significance of the achievements Turkish Aerospace have achieved is related to the period in which they were realized. The Covid-19 pandemic and the global crisis, which the whole world faced between 2021 and 2022, changed the dynamics of the aviation industry.  and paused new breakthroughs. Due to these conditions, the aviation and space industry slowed down its activities, made significant reductions in human resources As Turkish Aerospace, we have continued to grow by expanding our family and never stopped production, despite the layoffs during the pandemic period. During this period, we added new ones to our achievements, cared about our employees and realized important new breakthroughs and achievements for the sector. While well-established companies in the sector shrank significantly in human resources, we achieved a significant growth in employment; 23% for engineers and 53% for trainee engineers. While essential companies had to reduce their production and growth rates, we have maintained our first position in exports since 2011 and became the first in exports in the field of "defense and aviation". Thus, we, as Turkish Aerospace, continued to develop by expanding our human resources, in contrast to the sector, which was interrupted in growth and production due to the pandemic and global crisis as of 2021.
