Mutua Universal is a Spanish non-profit, common-law trust of companies that looks after the health and wellbeing of its members and is legally constituted as a Social Security partner. Its 2019 annual report seeks to lay out in a simple and effective manner the work carried out by the organization in the many areas of day-to-day life in which it is present, with the aim of presenting its valuable contributions to stakeholders and society at large.

The contents of the report have been largely determined by the extraordinary impact COVID-19 had in Spain in the first half of 2020. While the report is about 2019, it was considered necessary to incorporate in some way Mutua Universal’s response to the pandemic.

The challenge was to find a balance between the actions of 2019 (a positive year for the organization in what comes to the development of new services) and the messages around COVID-19. Ultimately, the decision was to focus on the highlights of 2019 from the perspective of Mutua’s 7 main areas of action, and to approach 2020 through two elements: an opening chapter and panels throughout (differentiated by colour and font) to explain the main actions taken during the pandemic.
