In today's world, where the world is trying to cope with crises; threats such as natural disasters, diseases and limitations in natural resources, especially water, invite individuals and institutions to be a part of the solution.
Since its establishment, Zer has been committed to producing projects that will mobilize its suppliers, customers and the ecosystem of which it is a part, in the fields of environment, society and sustainability. With its projects focusing on gender equality, a better future, proper use of resources, responsible consumption and production, Zer continues to take action for the future and use its impact power arising from collaborations in this direction.
Our Dreams Are Similar Collaboration Program
Having the largest supply chain in Turkey, Zer has the power to appeal to a wide ecosystem with its suppliers, customers, employees and families. While searching for solutions to contribute to a better world, Zer has sought to play a role in the construction of a sustainable future together with its employees and all stakeholders by using the power of this ecosystem.
Our Dream are Similar Collaboration Program has emerged as a social responsibility and environmental awareness project that will include the entire ecosystem of Zer with these pursuits.
Our Dreams are Similar, which started in 2019, is a cooperation program rewarding projects on protecting environment and natural resources implemented or designed by Zer customers or suppliers
In this program, Zer aims;
- To raise awareness about environmental sensitivity in its ecosystem,
- To inspire new initiatives in this field with good examples,
- To ensure that exemplary projects in this field are announced more,
-To support projects in need of support with consultancy and process improvements,
- To invest in the future of business by including the young generation in this awareness process.
With the start of the pandemic in the second year of Program, the focus areas were expanded with "maintaining the physical, health and quality living conditions of human life" category of changing the lifestyle. In this way, projects on improving medical waste collection, hygiene and health conditions developed within the scope of the pandemic were also included.
Companies that have implemented exemplary practices in these areas or that have the idea of implementing them in these focus areas, can apply to Program.
The independent jury team consisting of industry professionals and subject experts eveluate all these projects in 4 criteria;
- Potential for Impact and Prevalence
- Applicability
- Sustainability and
- Efficiency,
Winning projects are followed by ambassadors of Zer employees for 1 year. At the end of 1 year, the project that achieves the effect it aimed at and makes the most contribution is entitled to the grand prize.
Influence Area: The project has a wide-ranging impact every year, encouraging companies from all sectors and all sizes to create projects in this area. A level of awareness and consciousness-raising that corporations cannot achieve with their own resources is achieved thanks to the power of the Zer ecosystem.
The project reached more than 4000 members of the press and was covered in more than 100 media. With these news, more than 1.5 million potential readers were reached.
Investing in the Future of Work: Today's Y generation, who are the managers of the future of work, will also have a critical impact on protecting the earth's and environmental resources. From this point of view, Zer attaches importance to the inclusion of Y generation employees at the Project. It is ensured that the project ambassadors managers in Zer are from the Y generation, and the applicant institutions are required to choose a representative from the Y generation employees for their projects.
Impact on the Environment and the World: A total of 44 projects from 32 different companies applied to the program in 2019; In 2020, the number of companies applying increased to 35.
Contribution to Sustainability through the Grand Prize: Project also contributes to a sustainable future with the award it offers to the winning projects. Instead of presenting a monetary award to the winning institutions, a donation is made to the Turkish Education Foundation, the educational expenses of girls with limited access to education are covered for one year.
