Dubai Police Academy
The Dubai Police Academy is an educational academy offering several courses to locals and international students from the GCC region. The institution offers several degree programs, such as License in Law and Police sciences, Masters in law, and a Doctoral degree in law.
In the inaugural Middle East Stevie Awards, the Dubai Police Academy won the 2020 Gold Stevie award for Innovative Use of Technology in Customer Service for transitioning from paper-based to fully electronic student services. And they won a 2020 Bronze Stevie award for their “Touching the Mother’s Heart” campaign, inviting and involving mothers, fathers, and families in their student’s graduation.
The Academy’s new paperless program provides a number of services to students which they can now easily access electronically, Examples include letters confirming enrollment and the student’s schedule; letters before and after formal examinations;; and a letter to initiate the Thesis Stage of postgraduate programs. The effectiveness of the program was measured and achieved a 100% rating.
In their “Touching the Mother’s Heart” initiative, the academy personally delivered invitations and gifts to mothers, fathers, and families of graduates, expressing the gratitude of the DPA and involving them in the celebration. The result is an increase in happiness for both graduates and their families and reflects an honorable image of the Dubai Police General Command as well as strengthening ties nationally and internationally.
