Birevim
Founded in 2016, Birevim is the only financial services company of its kind in Turkey to offer innovative -free financing to low to middle income families who want to buy a house, land or car. Birevim has won numerous international awards for innovation, customer service, sales, marketing and more.
In the inaugural Middle East Stevie awards, Birevim won three 2020 Gold Stevie Awards and one Silver Stevie Award for their innovative management in transforming the mortgage sector in troubled times, and for their innovative customer service, community involvement, and sponsorships.
Birevim’s, roughly translated as “a home of my own”, rose from an unknown financial services company to a market leader in barely 4 years by discovering a way to offer affordable financing to the marginalized majority. Birevim introduced a fresh new model for financing large purchases by offering interest-free financing to consumers, a first in Turkey. And rather than charging high interest on long-term mortgages, Birevim charges a nominal upfront commission on the value of the sale, and never charges any interest or fees after that.
Birevim achieved growth and financial health despite the contraction of the home financing sector in Turkey. Targeting low to middle income consumers, Birevim’s “folksy” customer service approach and widespread marketing sponsorship program realized a 50% increase in prospect communications, a 126% increase in sales, and Birevim expanded from 46 to 86 locations, major achievements for a company of its size and unrivalled by any of its competitors.
