In the inaugural Middle East Stevie Awards, Digitallica won two Gold, one Silver and three Bronze 2020 Stevie Awards for their work on Arcelik AR’s Product Training and LC Waikiki’s ‘Global Orientation Gamebased Learning’ apps and websites.
Arçelik, a Turkish multinational household appliances manufacturer, was not achieving the desired outcomes from their online and in-class product training.. To solve the problem, Arçelik developed a solution with AR (Augmented Reality). . The AR training application allows Arcelik to use an image of physical products and overlay information about those products for users to interact with on their smartphones or tablets. With AR, transfer is inherent to information delivery, providing a near-guarantee that participants will achieve the learning outcome. Scores at the end of the AR trainings were 11% higher than the in-class trainings, which in turn led to increases in product sales.
LC Waikiki is a fast-fashion company with more than 30,000 employees from different cultures across 45 countries worldwide. Their long, in-class orientation program was not achieving the desired results and participants described it as boring and not memorable.
Analyzing the target audience in detail, of which 90% are generations Y and Z, interactive video technology was employed to provide an interactive experience to engage participants and make orientation more memorable. The new orientation program was launched online in 26 different languages, and has increased the long-term persistence of the information provided from 37% to 78%.
