In the inaugural Middle East Stevie Awards, Litum IoT of Izmir, Turkey won a 2020 Bronze Stevie Award for Innovation in Health & Wellness for their Resident Tracking System for a Senior Living Center.
Litum assisted Lantern Crest Senior Living Center based in San Diego, California with the challenges of monitoring their residents’ health and keeping them safe. This large center with three buildings has 200 residents , 100 staff, recreational facilities, a library, and gardens.
In response to the many requirements of the Senior Living Center, Litum provided a Ultra-Wideband RFID based Real-Time Location Tracking System. UWB RFID is a low energy radio communication technology that allows for short-range, high-bandwidth signals. Resident bracelets feature a panic alarm button as well as an inactivity alarm, fall detection, and monitoring for any change in location or routines.
As a result of the system, the Lantern Crest Senior Living Center saw a big improvement in overall well-being of the residents. Residents and staff felt better and more secure knowing that highest level technology was in place to continuously monitor the health of the residents.
