How do you preserve the legacy and patrimony of an art collection that was made abundant by the chairman of one of the Philippines’ largest conglomerates?

The answer: compile it in a handsome, hard-bound, coffee-table book.

Manuel V. Pangilinan, chairman of the MVP Group, built on the conglomerate’s art collection and amassed his own.

Compiled into a book, the result was MVP: The Man and His Art. It memorializes and celebrates Philippine art and culture and the taste and vision of its chairman.

“The constant presence in our offices and hallways of these visible expressions of Filipino artistry and creativity in pleasing forms and colors has inspired and stimulated us over the years, reminding us to continually aspire for excellence as these artists have,” said one executive from his management team.

The book is distributed to executives and serves as the chairman’s gift when on business visits locally and overseas.

To ensure credibility and accuracy, award-winning Filipino writer Cid Reyes penned the book, with renowned photographer Richie Macapinlac doing the photography.
