Natcom was founded officially in September 2011 to contribute to improve Haitian people’s lives, primarily customers, by continuously innovating and customize products and services that suit each individual’s needs. All its products and services have been developed and marketed to satisfy customers wherever they can be living in Haiti. After 9 years, Natcom becomes one of the leader of mobile products in Haiti with more than 2.6 million active subscribers (42% market-share).
SuperData45 is one of the most amazing products Natcom created for young people. In Haiti, people are sociologically qualified as young from 18 to 35 years old. This social group represents more than 60% of the whole population.
Created in April 2019, it happened to change the market dramatically. To increase market-share and get the impressive customer growth, SuperData45 has applied different and unique ways in the market. One year following the launch, SuperData45 becomes basically the main Natcom’s services with more than 619,000 subscribers and around 51M HTG of revenue
The strength of SuperData45 is the fact that for only 45 HTG, equivalent to 60 cents in UD, customers receive 2GB and on-net calls free for two days. Moreover, they will be able to use Facebook, WhatsApp and Instagram for free. So, customers can enjoy keeping in touch with family and friends and do research freely. SuperData45 offers the cheapest data and call services on mobile phone. Furthermore, Natcom offered unlimited data and on-net calls.
At the start, SuperData45 offered 1.2GB for 24 hours. Two months later, Natcom increased the expiration time from 24h to two days. This gives customers more time to enjoy the service. We continue to think over and over in order to find better advantages for our customers.
In 2020, in spite of the disastrous economic difficulties and spread of coronavirus, Natcom kept prices and increased advantages for customers. SuperData45 joined in the spirit of this decision: It offers 2GB for two days by now and social media are still free.
To reinforce SuperData45 quality, Natcom surveyed customers to get their point of view. This is within the framework of Natcom philosophy. The company always aims to keep close to Haitian people, customers and prospects. To improve its products and services, we always turn towards them. That’s the reason why we established different units in our Marketing Department to reinforce our communication with them all. We answer their questions, exchange with them and take their recommendations into consideration.
It should be noted that, before launching the service, many ideas have been proposed and discussed with different stakeholders. Meetings and surveys were also done before sending the final proposal to all concerned entities for implementation. Natcom took about 1 month to develop and launch SuperData45 to the market. We take time to think and offer our customers products and services they need for the price they can afford.
As a result, SuperData45 is a tremendous success. In April 2019, the goals was around 1,000 registered users per day after 1 month and we got around 2,000. One year following the launch, SuperData45 becomes basically the main Natcom’s services with more than 619,000 subscribers and around 51M HTG of revenue.
In the future, this service will become like Xchange which is the service that made Natcom famous and help it position itself on the market.
When SuperData45 started in 2019, about 500 people subscribed. For the first month, it brought around 45,000 HTG every day. In December 2020, more than 20,000 use SuperData45 per day for revenue of 1.6 M HTG daily.
