We have prepared the 2020 Integrated Annual Report, the concept of which we have determined as “Together, Safely, Towards the Future…” covering the period from January 1 to December 31, 2020, when we witnessed difficult times due to the Covid-19 pandemic that radically affected the world. With this report, besides financial data; it was aimed to convey the targets to all stakeholders through parameters such as environmental, social, corporate governance and economic performance.
Stakeholder dialogue studies were carried out in 2019 with a large participation audience in order to shape the strategic sustainability issues, priorities and value creation model with the opinions of the stakeholders. In addition, the results of research, practices and dialogues carried out by VakıfBank or external institutions and applied for different purposes were also utilized. While preparing this report, international guiding principles and outputs in the field of sustainable development such as UN SDG (Sustainable Development Goals), United Nations Global Compact, Carbon Disclosure Project, Climate-Related Financial Disclosure Task Force were taken into account.
In terms of creating inputs for the strategies, stakeholder groups including senior management, employees, subsidiary employees, shareholders, unions, public institutions, customers, investors, financial analysts, suppliers, non-governmental organizations, universities and the media were reached. Priorities were determined through the results of the questionnaire given to the groups, and a prioritization matrix was created. Key performance indicators were created according to the bank's capital items. Medium-long term targets were created and shared with both the relevant UN SDGs and capitals. Activities carried out in service units in Turkey and abroad were added to the report.
The Integrated Annual Report for 2020 was published on VakıfBank's website on March 3, 2021 and shared with the public. It was delivered to 100 people/institutions in print. 20 copies were published in English and shared with foreign investors through our Investor Relations Department. 50 USB sticks were prepared and shared to be sent to foreign investors.
