Safely launched as a family and women’s safety app. The app has a number of ways parents and kids or friends can notify each other when they’re feeling unsafe, and send immediate alerts when one member is in danger. This is what safety is about - giving others a heads up to be on standby and telling them urgently when you really need their help or emergency services. After a year of research and design, and another 8 months of development and testing, Safely soft-launched in 2021 globally to the Apple iOS and Google Play store. The app has been featured in prominent publications including Yahoo Finance, Forbes and key Australian media outlets including Herald Sun and 3AW and has since been downloaded in over 132 countries. Thousands of people are joining the app every week and creating safely circles with their family, friends and colleagues. Unlike competitor apps like Life360 or find my friends, children and women are more likely to embrace, use and connect on Safely. They’re not searching TikTok or Google for hacks on how to fake or deactivate their location without their parents' knowledge, which has been a key deterrent in growth for other apps.
