The Verder Group began in 1959 when André Verder established a business supplying pumps. By listening to his customer’s needs and providing well-made and innovative product technology, the Verder Group experienced rapid growth. With this customer-led approach, in the subsequent years, André and his son Andries took the Verder Group global to the UK, USA, Japan, China, India and South Africa, supported by a far-reaching network of distributors. The Verder brand is now represented in 28 countries worldwide. The Verder Liquids division manufactures pumps, mixers and systems under 11 Verder house brands, including Verderflex®. As a company, Verder can maintain the highest standards for the design, build and testing procedures and translate requirements from various markets into new products. Our pumps are used to transfer an ever-expanding range of media in many industries including food and beverage, oil and gas, water treatment, pharmaceutical and automotive. Among our portfolio is a range of pumps suitable for every industry including tube and hose pumps, centrifugal pumps, diaphragm pumps and pumps for hygienic applications. Our pumps are manufactured in various locations globally and distributed to a worldwide network of customers through our expanse of distribution centres.

The Verder Group achieves significant progress in the markets we sell to. New products were released to further expand our portfolio, new staff were employed to strengthen our knowledge base and we contributed significantly to several industries by the introduction of our pumps. Measuring these achievements relies on results in three key areas - people, product and performance. Our people are at the centre of what we do. Investment in our staff is a key part of what we stand for, recruiting solely on the basis of skills and suitability for the roles. 25% of our staff in the UK are now dedicated research and development professionals. This puts innovation at the core of what we do and ensures the newest technologies are available to our customers as quickly as possible. New products were developed using innovative techniques and technologies, that are exclusive to Verder. First was the Verderflex Dura 65 (D65) peristaltic pump which requires up to 70% less floor space than other comparable pumps for the same flow rate and pressure. In February 2022, the Dura 55 HF was released which can match the designation of competitors pumps up to 3 levels bigger. Our excellent performance was solidified when we were named in the top 100 of Dutch manufacturing industry. For the past three years Verder has led this field and we are proud to have secured a place on this prestigous list. We have, once again, scored highly on turnover, sales growth, profit growth and ROIC.

Our significant product development sets us apart from others players in our industry, but also from our past performance by proving we are leaders in the field for innovation and advancement. Our new D65 pump provides the same or higher flow than the closest competitors' model clasified two designations higher, all contained in a smaller footprint. Another factor which makes the D65 the market leader is the superior flange connections compared to competitor low-cost designs using brackets and clips – our connection sits flush to the casing using solid support flanges so there is no exposed hose. If hose is exposed it needs to be held down using clamps, which can rust in place and require removing with a hacksaw. The D65 hose connection is much safer as chemicals do not have an escape path. The Dura 55 HF maintains similar capabilites and higher flow than our competitors for the same sized pump, but has an even smaller footprint, making it ideal for areas where space is tight such as manufacturing plants and industrial applications. This is significant technology and an intuative redesign which dramatically extends the life of the pump for our customers.
