I am Majdi Abdel Aziz, Health Safety Environment & Quality (HSEQ) Manger, at SAFEEN Marine Services, part of AD Ports Group. Since my childhood, I have always dreamt to be a seafarer, and was able to attain this dream by majoring my study in maritime sector and graduating with a high degree. I joined several ports companies and worked for years with AD Ports Group, the leading digital, port, logistics, maritime, and economic cities and freezones operator in the UAE and the region and now one of the top companies in the world. Having managerial skills, I developed my career and experience to become competent on vessels management sector. I have moved through several managerial positions mainly as a pilot and HSEQ leader.
Understanding how the environment is vitally important and joint actions should be take to preserve it, I was promoted an environmental manager within the marine sector where I successfully led the implementation of several initiatives to protect the environment and promote health and safety culture across the organization and within the community as part of my CSR commitment I am also keen to inspire young Seafarer by sharing the experience & knowledge. I have participated in several Maritime events locally and internationally.
