    Halkbank continues its digitalization journey with a global and innovative vision since the first day of its operations. Halkbank HR team also implemented 3 new HR technology applications in 2021 in order to digitize HR processes and strengthen employee communication, which was interrupted by the pandemic.

    Innovative Self-Service HR and Communication Platform: Halka Mobil (Mobile to People)

    The Halka Mobile App, which all Halkbank personnel can access from their mobile phones (android or IOS devices), is an internal communication and HR platform combining all resources in a single place.

    In the Halka Mobile application, which can be easily accessed with face recognition, fingerprint, line draw or password options, employees can,

    -access the trainings defined for them from the Halk Academy,

    -create a Vcard business card and share it with others with a QR code,

    -access Human Resources applications such as leave, payroll, personnel credit, uploading health reports, health information

    -use Halka Mobile interface to switch to all applications that need to be used frequently.

    E-Messenger application that saves time and resources by digitizing memorandums for the company. Since Halkbank is a public bank and the banking sector is regulated in Turkey, many memorandums are made in terms of legislation, legal processes and internal processes which signature and approval processes are carried out in most of them. The E-Messenger application digitizes this entire memorandum and approval processes. Employees easily sign the documents which is assigned to them with their electronic signatures.

    The Find Your Expert application, is a knowledge management and guide application that matches internal experts with the topics that Halkbank employees need to obtain information. Halkbank has a nationwide branch network and employs more than 20,000 people, it is difficult to find the person responsible of a specific subject and employees lose time until the right person is reached. In the Find Your Expert app, employees can easily access the experts of that subject at Halkbank by typing in the search button for the subject they need, and they can access all contact information of the relevant people with a single click.

    The Halka Mobile App,

    -is practical, easy to use, independent of time and place,

    -is providing access from everyone's mobile phone without the need for another device for the application,

    -is to increase internal communication and motivation, to contain all information such as internal legislation, announcements and communications that our employees may need

    -It makes a difference by providing fast access.

    In addition, the application's creation with internal resources and its development by adding new features every day makes the application different and important.

    Besides being a one-way communication platform, Halka Mobil is also distinguished by being a two-way platform where employees can convey their suggestions and opinions and share feedback to many different units such as quality systems and call centers.

    Halka Mobile App has reached 12,139 users with approximately 42 modules so far. It also contributes to paper consumption and efficient resource usage with the business card creation feature in the application. For example, 840,000 cards were printed in 2021 and with the digital production of these cards from Halka Mobil, a significant cost and resource savings will be achieved.

    In the Find Your Expert application, at least one expert personnel (3755 experts) has been assigned for each of the 3642 topics and 2521 tags defined in the database so far. Find Your Expert application is visited by an average of 350 daily visitors, and the average number of searches made in the application is around 700 per day.

    The E-Messenger Application is highly functional, environmentally friendly, reflects the corporate culture, sets standards, integrates with many applications, is comprehensive, useful, open to development, and offers new opportunities and possibilities, far beyond transferring the memorandum process to the e-media.

    More than 4 million A4 papers have been saved, 27,866 kgCO2e emissions have been reduced, 68 red pine trees have been saved, and 38,268 m3 water footprint savings have been achieved with the The E-Messenger application. The use of e-messenger is increasing day by day, so it is estimated that this effect will multiply exponentially.
