  3. Briefly describe the nominated individual: history and past performance (up to 200 words):

    Total 200 words used.

An alumna of Harvard and London Business School, Sara Ganz began her career at Estee Lauder Companies, where she served in an elite strategy think tank. She was the only manager direct reporting to a Senior Vice President in the entire 30,000+ person organization. Sara was responsible for highly strategic projects, including managing the India Strategy for the global company. Sara’s team was unique in the Fortune 500 ecosystem, where they studied cultures around the globe to create action plans to launch new inclusive products for over 30 brands corporate-wide. She also co-founded the company’s first multicultural and multigenerational Inclusive Beauty Advisory Board.

Sara is an early member of Capital Rx, a pharmacy benefits manager changing the way prescription drugs are priced and administered to create enduring social change. She joined the company when it was still in its nascent startup phase. Working for one of the fastest-growing healthcare companies in the US, Sara has held a myriad of critical roles in the organization across corporate communications and member experience. Sara has had integral roles in product management and leads all front-facing communications to Capital Rx’s portfolio of clients, which has ultimately landed her as the head of marketing.

  4. Outline the nominee's achievements since July 1 2020 that you wish to bring to the judges' attention (up to 250 words):

    Total 249 words used.

In less than three years at Capital Rx, Sara has led numerous projects of value, starting as the product manager responsible for launching the United States’ first low-fee prescription drug discount card, the Capital Rx Advantage Card. She oversaw the branding, product development, execution, go-to-market strategy, and client implementations.

The Capital Rx Advantage Card, although branded like a luxury product, is a free and ethical solution to the predatory savings card model. The Advantage card saves consumers up to 90% on their prescriptions; beats popular discount cards 80% of the time. Other discount cards utilize a broken and volatile drug pricing system that allows intermediaries to profit by passing hidden fees back to consumers and pharmacies, pocketing more than $7 per script for themselves. The Capital Rx Advantage Card has a flat admin fee of 99 cents to process the claims and is the only drug discount program that uses a government-authorized pricing benchmark that delivers stable drug pricing. Thanks to Sara, the Capital Rx Advantage Card helps bring affordable medications to more Americans, and is now partnered with Indpenda and LG TV to increase access to the card and its savings; a partnership Sara brokered.

Sara also co-founded Capital Rx’s Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Committee with the CEO. She also spearheads the philanthropic outreach for the organization, including the endowment of Capital Rx’s pharmacy scholarship at Howard University. Most recently, Sara executed a full corporate rebrand of all assets, including launching a new corporate website within three months.

I wholeheartedly recommend Sara Ganz for employee of the year. As Capital Rx’s Chief Growth Officer, I have directly managed Sara. I know firsthand that she is a unique person you seldom come across in life, displaying a high level of creativity, perseverance, leadership, and team building you rarely witness. During her tenure at Capital Rx, Sara has become a strong, innovative, and thoughtful leader everyone respects and enjoys working with.

Sara has an innate understanding of the critical importance of external market needs, data visualization, required product offerings, and the ability to deliver market demands to grow revenue. She was key to Captial Rx being ranked the highest health technology company on the Inc. 5000 list, which was a bit of a passion project for her.

Sara is career-driven and an extremely versatile leader as she works on building socially responsible business in her personal time. I’m honored to have someone of Sara’s distinction working in this organization, and she exemplifies what any establishment would desire in a team member. https://www.prnewswire.com/news-releases/capital-rx-obliterates-industry-standard-drug-price-distortion-and-hidden-fees-delivers-first-fully-ethical-prescription-savings-program-to-americans-301353024.html

Sara’s name is synonymous with excellence. As the Head of Marketing, a title she ascended into at the age of 29, Sara became the youngest divisional head in the organization. The running joke at Capital Rx was that Sara achieved more in her first month in the role than the previous head of marketing had done in her entire tenure. Her speed to execution is surpassed only by the quality of work that Sara delivers. She compressed her initial one-year roadmap of launching the Advantage discount product in an expedited timeline of only 4 months to meet a client's need, and the launch was featured in Forbes.

Sara is a beloved member of the Capital Rx community, whose passion and exuberance has strengthened the company’s culture. She is renowned for leading numerous virtual and in-person events to bring people together; from scheduled programming in the DEI space to her annual virtual Halloween fashion show. It's rare to find someone who is so universally liked and appreciated throughout an entire organization for both their impact and kindness. She is known for going above and beyond on every project and for her colleagues, even helping a coworker to finish moving apartments when she went into labor early!

With strong analytical and creative skills, Sara is a brilliant strategist, marketer, and product developer who has added exceptional value outside the scope of what can be qualified in words. She received Capital Rx’s “Circle of Excellence” award for “Outstanding Vision, Dedication, and Determination.”
