    Warner Bros. World™ Abu Dhabi in collaboration with Etihad Airways and Abu Dhabi Airports, welcomed passengers arriving at Abu Dhabi International Airport with a complimentary theme park ticket tagged to each passenger’s bag and with an unexpected appearance from all-time favorite Warner Bros. characters Batman, Bugs Bunny and the Looney Tunes. Following extensive brainstorming and planning, Warner Bros. World Abu Dhabi delivered a creative and warm welcome idea to entertain passengers and their loved ones who were on their way to enjoy what Abu Dhabi has to offer. Warner Bros. World Abu Dhabi teamed up with Etihad Airways and Abu Dhabi Airports to craft a clever and unique scenario that would resonate with travelers and give them a taste of the family-friendly entertainment they can experience at the theme park. A storyboard was put in place, all relevant teams were involved in weekly meetings and briefing sessions, the incoming flight was selected and the Etihad Cabin Crew was instructed; a full team of operations, logistics and on-ground support joined hands to turn this into a success.

    Warner Bros. World Abu Dhabi worked with the production team behind the scenes to prepare the material and coordinate with Etihad Airways to help orchestrate the surprise activation. With plenty of helping hands working in synergy, the idea was brought to life on September 13, 2022, in a scenario that would leave arriving guests with unforgettable memories and entertaining moments with their beloved childhood characters. At approximately 9:00pm, Warner Bros. World Abu Dhabi surprised passengers arriving from Beirut and Riyadh as they waited to pick up their luggage from the baggage claim area. A basket of carrots, a Batman brand suitcase and quirky resort baggage were left revolving on the conveyer belt. While passengers turned their heads looking for answers, Etihad’s Cabin Crew was instructed as planned to walk in with Batman, Bugs Bunny, Lola Bunny, Daffy Duck, Sylvester and Tweety, while holding a banner that says: “Welcome to Abu Dhabi. Home to Warner Bros. World™ Abu Dhabi”.

    The stunt was a success after passengers young and old rushed to take pictures with Batman, Bugs Bunny and the rest of the Tunes, who were in their resort outfits playing their designated role and regularly passing by passengers to pick up their suspected personal belongings. To add to their moment of surprise, each passenger’s luggage was tagged with a complimentary ticket to visit the theme park and the rest of the family-friendly entertainment they can experience at Warner Bros. World Abu Dhabi on Yas Island.
