25 years ago, our Founder and CEO Nadeem Ahmad started Templeton with £5k personal savings and the goal of creating a truly diverse recruitment agency.

To get global reach in the tech age, companies need specialist global teams in multiple international tech hubs. Templeton build scalable, specialist international tech teams for international businesses across multiple locations, through our own diverse and international team. Templeton work across 40 countries, 70% of our staff originate from abroad, and we speak 25 languages.

Templeton build new offices and recruit new tech teams for our customers wherever they expand. In the past decade we expanded into new offices across the UK, Germany, Switzerland and the Netherlands. We legally incorporate and obtain recruitment licenses for every territory, partnering local suppliers ensuring ethical recruitment and legal compliance.

In 2021 Templeton doubled our global office presence from 4 to 8, by opening offices in Paris, Warsaw, Bangalore and New York. Templeton has grown from one person into a thriving international business with 35 employees across eight global offices.

By recruiting diverse tech specialists who lead digital transformation in global Banking, Retail, Pharmaceuticals and Energy companies, we help businesses become more effective, diverse and sustainable.

In 2020 thousands of global businesses outsourced their tech hubs to the countries that were worst hit by Covid-19, meaning sick workers, insufficient remote work resources and unstable internet. In 2020 Templeton began creating offshore hubs of skilled local IT professionals to provide global companies with immediate access to wider talent pools, faster recruitment, and labour savings. Tech hub workers receive higher wages, advance their careers and remain in their home country. Templeton quickly legally incorporated in four new global locations to provide global businesses with reliable tech hubs.

In 2021 Templeton created a leading global bank’s offshore tech hub of 100+ tech specialists to deliver digital transformation across 10,000 branches worldwide. Since beginning our relationship with one of the world’s largest energy providers in 1998, we have provided tech professionals across Europe, Asia, North and South America. Templeton are helping multiple energy providers transform from fossil fuel production to renewables by recruiting the IT specialists who drive digital transformation innovation and efficiencies.

By adapting services to reach customers online and providing bespoke market intelligence services, Templeton won a variety of new customers in 2020 and 2021 including some of the world’s largest and most successful companies.

Templeton retained employee base, revenue and profit despite Covid-19, and in 2021 increased staff headcount by 25%. Despite Covid-19, we found jobs for 20% more people in 2020 than 2019.

Templeton has always been completely self-funding, achieving solid profits every year since inception. In the past four years, overall revenue increased by 81%.

Even in 2021, only 5% of UK SMEs are BAME-led and 2% of FTSE 250 CEOs are female. Only 19% of UK and 17% of European tech specialists are women. Templeton is 65% female – rare in the white- and male-dominated IT recruitment industry – with 50% female leadership, and BAME-led. 30% of our staff are BAME and our team spans 20 nationalities and four generations. We find diverse candidates rewarding careers, help customers serve diverse audiences and drive real change.

99% of recruitment agencies operate in their local market. Our international team engage tech professionals in their own languages and match them with customers building global teams.

Incorporating in different European countries provides additional routes to market, ensuring we can provide legally compliant customer services and avoid red tape, additional fees and service delays despite Brexit. For every international incorporation, we open up potential customer bases of thousands, and for every offshore tech hub we create, we widen our talent pools to millions of tech professionals.

Before we ask any commitments from potential customers, we provide free Discovery Sessions. Led by Templeton Associates – senior IT leaders in our candidate networks – to help potential customers build their unique hiring strategy, whether or not they choose to work with us. We also provide free bespoke market intelligence and candidate benchmarking reports. Providing real, immediate business value without any customer investment has opened up a variety of new customer relationships in companies that previously would only commit to working with larger agencies.
