Katie Lewis joined TransPerfect in October 2007 as an entry-level sales employee with no previous sales experience. Since then, Katie has demonstrated consistently strong growth of team sales goals at 41% year-on-year. Katie has also been promoted four times based on her exceptional sales performance.

Katie is currently responsible for:

Managing a team of 26 salespeople across eight countries;
Achieving personal sales goals and conducting daily new business development;
Account management for three of TransPerfect’s top 25 largest clients;
Leading the strategy, organization, and execution of TransPerfect’s global annual sales conference with over 300 attendees; and
Working with senior leadership to outline the executive strategy for the global life sciences practice group (revenues over $350M).

Katie’s YOY team growth rate was 32% this year, and the team has averaged 21% growth per year for the last five years across 25 salespeople, totaling $20.1M in growth.

Katie organized the team’s thought leadership program for 2021, which resulted in 28 publications.

She coached two team members to lead and build out key practice groups:

Organized the European GlobalLink Next Conference Life Sciences track, focused on how leading pharmaceutical companies leverage technology to innovate and accelerate drug development. Katie secured speakers from AstraZeneca, Pfizer, Sanofi, and BMS. The conference had over 150 attendees and the team surpassed its RSVP goal by 160%.

Team supported critical urgent COVID-19 programs for Pfizer, AstraZeneca, and Janssen.

Sits on the board of the Healthcare Businesswoman’s Association UK chapter, serving as Director of Volunteer and Membership Engagement. She led 20+ events focused on advancing the role of women in healthcare and reducing the gender pay gap.

Created and led the TransPerfect UK volunteer day event at Holy Family Primary School with 30+ volunteers.

Created and led a device donation drive with Healthcare Businesswoman’s Association and Business2Schools that led to 50+ devices being donated to children in need during home schooling.

Organized and led Women in Science panel at Ysgol Bryn Elian school with three women from the pharmaceutical industry to discuss their journeys in STEM research to 30+ attendees.

Katie has coached and led 12 successful Directors of Business Development (DBDs), more than any other regional director in Europe.

Katie successfully coached two Directors to Senior Managers in 2021, more than any other European manager.

She personally averaged 34% growth YOY in the past two years vs. an average of 13% in the previous three years.

She was nominated for manager of the year with TransPerfect in 2020. Katie led the strategy and organization of TransPerfect’s the 2021 Annual Sales Conference, which had over 200 attendees. Her inventive new approach to the conference led to the highest satisfaction ratings of any conference held to date.

Four of her team members were nominated for excellence in sales awards for the 2020 calendar year—the most of any manager at TransPerfect. For her volunteer work with the Healthcare Businesswoman’s Association, Katie was recognized as HBA volunteer of the month in March 2021.
