Belinda-Jane is CEO of The World Happiness Project and an international executive with more than 20 years driving organizational transformation across Australia, New Zealand, the UAE, and the United Kingdom. She has lived in eleven countries and visited sixty. As CEO of The World Happiness Project, she leads a global initiative dedicated to transforming lives, improving mental health and creating measurable improvements. Carrying on her mother's legacy while working alongside a remarkable board and team to try to make the world a better place. The organization has developed proprietary programs and is currently building partnership networks across multiple continents. Key initiatives include the "I Miss You" book series addressing grief and trauma, and the Chief Happiness and Wellbeing Officers program designed to place a CHO in every company, university and school worldwide. Psychoeducation programs and events to reduce isolation and increase offline connections. Her work currently aims at impacting 785 million people across the globe as she travels throughout the world establishing WHP projects and researching happiness and wellbeing.
Founding her first company at 21 her government advisory work includes leading major Australian Government contracts focused on Indigenous mental health, employment services, and school engagement initiatives. Her company was selected as one of a handful of providers to deliver services across 71 different regions under three separate major contracts including the $1.5 billion Remote Jobs and Communities Program, the Indigenous Mental Health First Aid contract, and the Remote School Attendance Strategy which was $206.4 million over eight years. She has also held Board Director roles in health, education and youth mental health. Her business portfolio includes running a networking company, training and education, and providing business advisory services to organizations seeking performance improvements and increased wellbeing. Under her leadership, her companies have collectively won over 20 international awards for excellence in business performance, leadership, and innovation.
For six consecutive years, she has served as an international judge and chair across eight prestigious award programs, including the globally recognized Stevie Awards. This role has established her as a respected evaluator of business excellence worldwide.Her qualifications include a Master of Psychology, Master of Education, Chartered Manager status, and various business and leadership fellowships. She has lectured in business and the science of happiness, with her lectures being among the most popular on the academic calendar. Currently pursuing her PhD in Psychology, she is also a behavioural researcher combining rigorous academic research with practical executive experience. Her operational track record includes successfully managing multi-million-dollar budgets, building high-performing teams and delivering consistent year-over-year growth. She has navigated complex regulatory environments across four countries while maintaining quality standards and achieving sustained business growth.
Beyond her professional achievements, she runs ultra marathons and has climbed some of the highest mountains on the continent. She presents at international conferences and events and is currently traveling the world investigating what creates happiness for people across the globe and collaborating with companies and individuals to increase the wellbeing of populations.
