Diane Scott, Chair & CEO of JMCC Group, Co-Founder SX2 Ventures is a trail blazer. She established JMCC in 2016 to become the best cultivators of medical cannabis in the world. Today JMCC is the only female lead, global medical cannabis group in the world, that owns its own supply chain from propagation, through cultivation, processing, manufacturing, warehousing, logistics and global distribution, as well as scientific research and development. From day 1, Diane took the road less travelled, avoided taking public funding, and keeping her Company private. Under her leadership JMCC has grown significantly across 5 continents and 3 business units; JMCC Source; JMCC Scientific: and JMCC Distribution.
In addition, Diane is the co-founder of a global venture capital firm that supports innovation and long-term value creation in the human care sector, with a focus on life sciences, longevity, specialized care and emerging market healthcare. The ethos of SX2 Ventures is that you can be profitable and leave the world a little bit of a better place. Diane believes strongly that business and capital can and should benefit humanity. In everything SX2 does in business looks for a societal give back, and this is as important on the investment check list as financials or an exceptional value proposition. From day one Diane also formed the JMCC Foundation which reinvests 10% of its net profits into the scientific, research or education communities surrounding the locations they do business in.

In the past year, under Diane’s leaderhip, JMCC has achieved the following:
-Expanded the business into three distinct divisions:
JMCC Source – naturally grown raw medical cannabis
JMCC Scientific – focused on delivering market leading nano-emulsified patient products
JMCC Distribution – focused on ensuring complete track and track, command and control of our products to ensure a seamless patient experience.
-Completed a joint venture in the State of Jersey, United Kingdom to open JMCC European Distribution which allows us to reach patients in the EU and UK
-Completed an exclusive distributor agreement for Australasia, without regional base in Brisbane.
-Launched 9 new nano emulsified products – these are market leading products developed using nano technology, meaning better bioavailability for patients. These products focus on Pain and Epilepsy.
-Advanced our build out in Jamaica of the first 135,000 square ft of cultivation
-In the final stretch of our new 19,000 sq. ft process facility focused on dried products, extracted oils, and nano emulsified sprays.

Diane’s achievements are unique as their simply isn’t a comparable in the industry world wide. She has lead JMCC Group to deliver excellent. JMCC is a global leader in medical cannabis, focusing on ensuring we deliver the highest quality medicine for every patient. Five years ago, we set a goal to become the best growers in the world, today we have 3 divisions – JMCC Source (raw wholesale product), JMCC Scientific (patient nano-emulsified formulations), and JMCC Distribution (safe, secure global distribution). We are one of the only Companies in the world to own our own supply chain from propagation, cultivation, processing/manufacturing, warehousing, logistics and distribution. We proudly operate of 4 continents and the Caribbean. Diane is the only female CEO, of a global medical cannabis company who owns her own supply chain in the world. As such she is a frequent speaker on the international stage, and often quoted in industry journals.
In June 2021, the Ontario Government also recognized Diane by naming her to the Taskforce for Women & the Economy focusing on inclusive economic growth that will seek to address the unique and disproportionate economic barriers women face, particularly in an economy that will look different after Covid-19.
