Melanie’s career started out as a freelance makeup-artist and hairstylist in 1998, leading to launching 2Twenty2 Group 2014, finding a gap in the market to work differently in media This production & events company works with global brands Revlon, Schwarzkopf, Bondi Sands, Harper’s Bazaar, and Online Courses Australia across brand activations, print/digital media, interview series and video content. 2017 Melanie created industry body The Makeup Artist Guild Asia Pacific (The MAGAP), consisting of a membership program and annual Awards event. Uniting, nurturing & empowering artists. Currently creating an industry code of conduct with other councils ensuring a safe, non-discriminatory workplace. 2021 The 7C Strategy, online education platform launched coaching freelancers and small business how to build strong business foundations as most creatives had little or none in place. Melanie now presents the 7C globally at major industry events. 2022 Beauty Boss Business launched to consult and educate beauty bosses across the sector through 1:1 mentoring, group, in-person and online education.
Throughout Melanie’s career evolution, she realised that many people she was working with were great at their craft but failing at business side of their craft. After working through her own failures in business, she’s dedicated to coaching and mentoring others so that their craft is sustainable and successful.
