ChaosSearch reimagined how big data analytics is delivered and used. The ChaosSearch Data Platform seamlessly automates and accelerates the process of gaining actionable insights from massive amounts of raw data while achieving the true promise of data lake economics. It’s the only solution that connects to and indexes data within a customer’s own cloud storage environment, rendering it fully searchable and available for analysis with existing data tools, while delivering huge time, cost, and complexity savings.

While the ChaosSearch platform can support various use cases, today it is most commonly deployed for log analytics, allowing customers to ingest and index billions of log files daily, in order to monitor and analyze their IT operations and perform vital security operations.

Compared to legacy solutions, ChaosSearch delivers 50-80% cost savings, while solving the scalability problem that limits businesses’ ability to perform analytics on very large data sets.

Other solutions require IT to set up and maintain multiple clusters, and to break up, or shard, the database to enable growth. The more data they push into it, the less stable and more costly it becomes. These challenges are exacerbated any time there is an underlying change to the data, or a change in how users want to access the data, which requires a difficult, time-consuming process of re-loading and re-indexing the entire database. As a result, businesses are forced to limit the amount of data they retain and analyze—and the insights they gain from their data.

ChaosSearch takes a radically different approach. Its cloud-native data platform connects to a customer’s existing, inexpensive cloud storage, such as Amazon AWS or Google GCP, indexing all of the data within it regardless of the scale. As new data floods in, ChaosSearch continually indexes the data in real time without any performance hit to the data ingest speeds.

At the heart of ChaosSearch is its patented Chaos Refinery, which allows IT to change data schemas and allow for differing views into the underlying data, without any re-indexing and re-loading the data.

ChaosSearch deliversinstant elasticity, unlimited scale and data retention, and secure data access at disruptive price.

ChaosSearch tripled its customer base and increased revenue by close to 8X in 2020 compared to 2019. Enterprise companies around the globe now rely upon ChaosSearch to perform fast, reliable analytics on massive volumes of data in the cloud. On the strength this success, and expectations for continued hypergrowth, the company concluded the year with a $40 million Series B financing round in December 2020.

“With ChaosSearch, we’re able to process tens of terabytes a day of Cloudflare data without worrying about performance or system failure,” said Stephen Salinas, Engineering Lead at HubSpot, whose sales and marketing SaaS platform is used by 73,400-plus customers. https://www.chaossearch.io/resources/customers/hubspot

“As the daily new log data from all of our customers grew beyond 10 terabytes, it was increasingly difficult and expensive to provide a reliable log analysis environment. Switching to ChaosSearch allowed us to quickly eliminate our reliability challenges and gives us nearly unlimited scalability. With ChaosSearch in place, we are now able to confidently deliver new event log analysis capabilities to our clients, a critical area of need.” said Josh Bosquez,CTO at Armor, a cybersecurity company with more than 1,000 customers in 42 countries.

“ChaosSearch is delivering on the initial promise of a data lake with a new approach that delivers ubiquitous data access to all data no matter the size, scale, or speed,” said Mike Leone, principal analyst with ESG. “This empowers businesses to gain insight and take action by rapidly ramping up and promoting data access and analysis to more people, at a fraction of the cost of traditional approaches with virtually no future limitations based on speed, scale, or cost.”
