In it's 4th year, Productboard's annual Product Excellence Summit brought together product leaders and the product community to get inspired, ideate and innovate in product management. The goals of this PRE-RECORDED, VIRTUAL event was to maintain our current registration number (6,785 people), but increase the number of enterprise accounts that registered and attended by 4% YoY. We also had a very large pipeline goal of $1,000,000. With our goals set, we were off to start planning the event. We started with our messaging framework (see attachments) to map out how our content flow was going to go and to define our 3 different tracks. After figuring out the messaging, we launched a call for speakers on May 1 and ran it for a month. We got over 50 proposals and narrowed that down to 15 of the best sessions. Next, we had to decide who was going to keynote the event and there was no greater person than Guy Kawasaki. The months of June and July were focused on content development with the speakers, focusing on our key pillars and iterating on speaking abstracts and scripts. We were simultaneously working on the look and feel of the event, event promotion, setting up the event in our event platform, Goldcast, and developing a virtual photo booth for the attendees as well as working with a business comic to provide entertainment during breaks. The months of August and October were centered around rehearsing, filming and post production. In two months, we did 38 calls with the speakers, each having one rehearsal/tech check and 1 final recording. After over 2,500 hours of rehearsing and recording we had our final videos and were ready to finalize the event in Goldcast. Our event date was October 11, 2023. From October 1-10th, Goldcast was set up. Our agenda consisted of a welcome address from our CEO and then the keynote presentation from Guy Kawasaki. After a short break, there were 3 tracks attendees could choose from. The first track was focused around the cost of poor collaboration, the second track was focused around growth through product innovation and the third track were demos of the Productboard product based on our framework of Jobs to Be Done. After the second break, we had a 60-minute "AI in Product" panel as that was a topic everyone had been talking about in the industry and we knew we wanted to touch base on that. We were also going to make a special announcement hours later with Productboard AI. After the track sessions concluded, we brought everyone together for the big reveal on What was New in Productboard and made our big company product announcements. Overall, the event recieved 4.8 out of 5 scores from our attendees. We blew our goals out of the water with 7,465 people registered (10% increase YoY), 32% enterprise accounts registered (26% increase YoY), and $1.3M in pipeline (89% increase YoY). Post event, we have taken all of the hours of video, cut them up and have created over 300 pieces of new content that we have been able to share on social.
