    Kevin Dallas joined Wind River in February of 2020, just one month before the Covid pandemic. During this time (and during the pandemic when Dallas was only remote), he transformed [REDACTED FOR PUBLICATION] traditional real-time operating systems company Wind River, into a leading intelligent systems software company in just under two years. [REDACTED FOR PUBLICATION] a 40-year old startup, and the company's transformation led to the recent $4.3B acquisition by leading gobal technology company Aptiv in January 2022. As part of his vision, he is putting Wind River at the center of the new intelligent machine economy and be a catalyst for transformational economic and social change.

    The company is now embarking on its next phase of growth to realize its mission of enabling  customers to solve the world’s most complex technology challenges and realize the digital future of the planet with software-defined mission-critical intelligent systems where security, safety, and reliability are paramount.

    Part of realizing this mission, Dallas was responsible for the launch of the industry's first cloud-native platform for the development, deployment, operations, and servicing of mission-critical intelligent systems, Wind River Studio, which is quickly disrupting the industry with customers across industries, including aerospace, automotive, defense, industrial, medical, and telecommunications.

    In addition to introducing the world to the industry-leading Wind River Studio offering, under Dallas' leadership the company played key roles with the NASA Mars rover Perseverance and NASA James Webb telescope, the world’s first successful 5G data session with Verizon, and helping Vodafone to build one of the largest Open RAN networks in the world. Wind River also acquired UI/UX industry leader Particle Design.

    Dallas joined Wind River from Microsoft, where he served as the corporate vice president for cloud and AI business development. At Microsoft, he led a team creating partnerships that enable the digital transformation of customers and partners across a range of industries including: connected/autonomous vehicles, industrial IoT, discrete manufacturing, retail, financial services, media and entertainment, and healthcare.

    Prior to joining Microsoft in 1996, he held roles at NVIDIA Corporation and National Semiconductor (now Texas Instruments Inc.) in the U.S., Europe, and the Middle East in roles that included microprocessor design, systems engineering, product management, and end-to-end business leadership. He currently serves as a director on the board of Align Technology, Inc.
