We’re on a mission to define the next era for Abu Dhabi’s Supply Chain. Towards a Single Window Nation. Our Driving Forces on Innovation, Commitment and Efficiency. Innovation is at the core of what we do. It fuels our commitment to producing excellent work and our contribution towards improving the logistics network, improving border procedures, reducing trade costs, boosting flows, and ensuring international trade results in greater benefits. Efficiency helps us prioritize areas requiring action, mobilize technical assistance and organize capacity-building efforts in a more targeted way.
The Beginning was in 2014 when His Highness Sheikh Hazza Bin Zayed inaugurated Maqta Port Community System (PCS) project, named mPCS, making way for the optimization, unification and implementation of all Seaside processes in Khalifa Port. In 2016, the project quickly proved successful and expanded its services to all commercial Abu Dhabi ports. Maqta Gateway (MG) was then officially established as a wholly-owned subsidiary of Abu Dhabi Ports. In 2018, MG became the first in the Middle East to achieve PCS-to-PCS integration and deploy the region’s first blockchain solution (SILSAL) while also launching KIZAD Industrial Zones and COSCO terminal services to ease information flow. In 2019, we started working toward customer convenience and facilitating business operations. MG launched sea freight declaration services in collaboration with Abu Dhabi Customs, as well as the innovative digital marketplace for logistics (MARGO) and ZonesCorp Industrial Zones Services. In 2020, His Highness Sheikh Khalid bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan inaugurated the Single Window of Trade, named Advanced Trade and Logistics Platform (ATLP), based on the mandate by the Executive Council to move forward with development under the supervision of the Department of Economic Development. In 2021, ATLP started collaborating with Etihad, Abu Dhabi Airports, Abu Dhabi Customs, Abu Dhabi Digital Authority and Manafth to introduce innovative air freight and land transportation services. Further integrations to facilitate trade and logistics services have been developed in collaboration with over 30 UAE stakeholders.
With an investment of AED +300 million (USD +80 million), ATLP facilitates the exchange of goods and ensures smooth transport and logistics operations via sea, air and land, and contributes to the sustainable development of Abu Dhabi with a Single Point of Contact and real-time information at any time- even via mobile. ATLP covers +700 main services and is integrated internationally with China, Belgium, Spain, India and Saudi Arabia.
ATLP has the below impact:
