Executive Project Summary:

The Hemaya (Arabic for ‘Protection’) Int. Protection Smart Platform is an integrated system utilizing artificial intelligence via a virtual assistant named Amna. Amna receives voice-audio and text questions from the UAE residents in English or Arabic and trained to answer over 2,166 responses.

Powered by Hemaya International Centre, the app (Apple iOS & Google Android) and website also offers access to other public awareness services such as a statistics centre, school programs, live social media streams, latest Dubai Police magazine publications, Live YouTube events, community competitions, Hemaya Forum 2020 registration and so much more!

Story behind the Innovation:

Not only do the Dubai Police want to be the global leader in public safety but they also want to become number #1 when it comes to their community trust, acceptance and engagement. Therefore, the Dubai Police launched the Hemaya https://hemaya.ae/program in order to build a stronger positive engagement and awareness with the Dubai residents and through the schools.

Prior to 2019, the Hemaya program was only communicated through their email newsletters, social media, outdoor advertising and via school programs. The Dubai Police approached SpiralClick.com to build a Hemaya smart digital platform which would become their new primary tool to interact, communicate and engage with the Dubai residents.

Goals of the Dubai Police Hemaya Program:

-Use artificial intelligence in raising awareness of drug damage to the public in both Arabic and English to provide scientific materials and information using the latest app and website technology.

-Providing a quality digital service to reduce the amount of expenses previously spent through traditional communication methods to deliver public awareness messages.

-The use of cognitive computing to collect and understand behaviors about awareness materials over virtual assistance using IBM A.I Watson.

Dubai Police Hemaya Platform overview & scope of Work:

Hemaya International Protection Platform (IMP) is an integrated platform which serves public audience about activities of Hemaya International Center offered for the public. The platform is using smart technologies integrated with IBM WATSON services to deliver a robust solutions for the public in real time. The platform consist of:

-Android Native application
-IOS Native application
-Website portal
-Centralized Website and App CMS (Content Management System)

All services are pushed over CMS system to deliver all needed services over the platform. Moreover, the smart features associated with IBM WATSON is linked to a personal assistant system (named Amna) that directs users through live chat.

The platform also includes services such as:

-Awareness Programs: Now ‘Drug Awareness’. Later other topics such as: ‘Cyber Bullying’, ‘Traffic violations’, ‘UAE Laws’, ‘Home Security’, ‘Visiting Dubai’

Hemaya Program Impact in Society & the Future of Hemaya:

The Hemaya Platform is now the Dubai Police’s latest digital smart tool. With the Dubai Police support and assistance, the next major version of the app is currently under development. The Dubai police has big future plans for the Hemaya program and smart platform which will be a tool not just for the Dubai residents but also for tourists visiting our beautiful city.

The Hemaya goal is to continually expand on their public awareness and community support services so that all residents and tourist alike can use a UAE trusted source of safety information about Dubai.The Hemaya Smart Platform goal is to create a digital tool that has a welcoming, engaging and fun experience so that UAE residents and tourists feel comfortable to ask questions (via the Amna AI bot) and source trusting information via the platform.
