In the inaugural Middle East Stevie Awards, Vodafone Turkey and the Vodafone Turkey Foundation won three 2020 Gold Stevie Awards for the Vodafone Turkey Corporate Communication Team of the Year, and for the Vodafone Turkey Foundation website and Excellence in Innovation in Non-Profit Organizations.
To keep up with the rise in consumers’ video news consumption, the Vodafone Turkey Corporate Communication Team started focusing on video news contents to widen their messages to social media”, positioning Vodafone as the publisher to elevate total company reputation. Using “Video News Releases (VNR)” as one of the corporate communication tool & created digital formatted news. Within 10months, they produced 23VNR’s and reached 7million people with their reputation focused video contents , dramatically increasing engagement rates and views on Twitter, LinkedIn and Vodafone Internal Communication Channels. There has been a remarkable upward trend in the website user statistics following its re-launch in Jan 2018 with a simple and updated modern design integrated with a mobile app and social media.
The Vodafone Turkey Foundation creates value by using technology for good and serves the society by conducting projects delivering public benefits. Since 2007, It has made 41 Million TL social investment by touching more than 4 Million people. The foundation and its hundreds of employee volunteers have 2 main focus areas, women and children, with 3 projects; Coding Tomorrow equips kids aged 7-14 with digital skills via coding and AI trainings; Women First in Entrepreneurship aims to improve entrepreneurship skills of women via an online sales platform, an entrepreneurship competition, and an app based training program; and the Easy Rescue program’s mobile application was developed to help women in violence situations get the help they need, when they need it. .
To inform society about the projects, the Vodafone Turkey Foundation works closely with Digital Marketing, Communications, and PR departments of Vodafone Turkey. On average,a 15 Million impact score was reached in every project by PR activities since July 2018.
