Saudi Arabia and Oman announced on Tuesday the opening of the first land crossing between the two Gulf neighbors.
“The 725 kilometer Saudi-Omani road...will contribute to the smooth movement of citizens of the two countries and the integration of supply chains,” a joint statement released following an official visit by Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman said.
The project to link the two countries, implemented by the Ministry of Transport and Logistics, is considered an engineering marvel given the difficult terrain and harsh climate in the Empty Quarter. It is also considered one of the ministry’s most important projects due to the role it plays in promoting trade exchange between the two countries, and facilitating the movement of pilgrims and tourists.
ZATCA (Zakat, Tax, and Customs Authority) as one of the main stakeholders of this project, where its role is to maintain security and make sure that the prohibited items are not crossing the borders between the two countries. Moreover, to facilitate trades between these two countries.
The Idea of the video is to send a message to our neighbor country that we are brothers and we are one soul and show that we have very strong bonds together and there are no differences between us..
This idea have been translated in merging the Saudi culture with the Omani culture. The folklore and the traditional music have been merged together in a very harmonic and smooth way, even the traditional dance and customs have been merged together in a very creative way that you can’t even sense any difference between them.
To execute the idea, we hired a very creative and professional team for the theme settings; themes stylists, choreography designer who is specialized in designing choreographic traditional dances in more than 80 countries with experience over 15 years. We care about every single details; we even hired more than 40 dancers to make the job perfect.
We have face a huge challenge since we have been shooting in the dessert, the weather was so windy with no wi fi access and the tools settings took a lot of time. Moreover, the other challenge that we have faced is that the timeframe was a very tight one; only one week with 14 hours per days in different locations in this weather.
In the 8th of December 2021, we have published the video into our social media channels (Twitter, LinkedIn, and YouTube). Our video went Viral! The reach had hit more than 8M and more than 4M views, the likes are more than 4K and the comments are more than 2K. A lot of public Saudis and Omanis have positively admired and praised the video and its message. We even have received a praise from the Foreign Affairs Minister of Oman H.E. Sayyid Badr Albusaidi and the Finance Minister of Saudi Arabia H.E. Mohammed Al Jadaan.

This was one of the strongest videos that we have worked on, it touched a lot of people’s hearts and we are very thrilled with this results that we want others to feel as we did.
