Fazoli's flourished in 2020, setting more than 100 new sales records while sadly,more than 100,000 restaurants across the country closed their doors -- many permanently. Fazoli's comparable store sales rose 9.0% versus 2019, led by a 60% increase in drive-thru sales and a 1,038% increase in delivery sales. These sales gains offset the loss of dine-in and catering sales, which plummetedwhen shelter-at-home orders andindoor dining restrictions were imposed. Additionally, the launch of 2 "ghost kitchen" concepts within Fazoli's existing kitchen design in 2020 generated $1.6MM in incremental sales and significantly enhanced the brand's home delivery marketshare.According to Nation's Restaurant News, Fazoli's sales performance in 2020 placed it in the 97th percentile of its competitive set.

The Company's extensive response to COVID-19 relative to Guests and Employees alike gained national attention and accolades. CEO Carl Howard appeared on numerous national and regional media outlets 2 national news segments describing the Company's COVID-19 response plan, including 2 national TV news segments,2 trade-op ed pieces, 3podcast interviews,5 full feature news stories and featured speaker on 2 industry podcasts.
