Nomination Title: ZL Tech's ZL UA (Unified Archive) Version 9.1.

On June 24th 2020, ZL Tech updated their offering and launched ZL UA (Unified Archive) Version 9.1.

ZL UA Version 9.1 updated ZL Tech’s compliance review functionality by implementation additional content analytics and AI for improved review processes. ZL UA for regulatory compliance is designed to provide clients insight and control over their enterprise data to meet industry-specific regulations, such as FINRA, SEC, HIPPA, SOX, and privacy regulations like GDPR and CCPA. ZL Tech enables compliance with these regulations through the management of unstructured data across the enterprise, combining content and metadata-based governance policies with advanced analytics and reporting for complete insight and defensibility. This product updated honed ZL Tech’s ability to analyze the written content and metadata of employee communications—emails, file shares, collaboration platforms, social media, instant messages, etc.—implementing refined message flagging, echo review reduction, and built-in analytics.

Non-compliant messages are flagged for internal review by ZL Tech’s powerful lexical engine that leverages content and metadata analytics. Specifically, potential violations are denoted through rules, including phrases, wildcards, inclusion/exclusion, pattern recognition, and more. The ZL UA Version 9.1. heightened this process by allowing for even more granular content analysis with surround quires, which combine any number of these lexical rules together for more precise identification of violations and minimizing false positives.

Further minimizing false positives, the echo review reduction added in ZL UA Version 9.1. implements comprehensive content analysis to weed out redundant violations. Notably, ZL UA is now capable of identifying messages that were flagged due to being in an email thread with the original non-compliant text. By reducing the number of false positives, ZL Tech’s content analysis dramatically reduces wasted time for compliance and privacy reviewers.

Lastly, in terms of content analytics, ZL UA Version 9.1 instilled built-in analytics onto the user dashboard for deeper insights into unstructured content and metadata. For instance, ZL UA is now capable of looking at employee networks, showcasing who talks with whom. Additionally, providing employee power ranks based on the language and frequency of communications highlight employees and subjects that are receiving the most traction in your workforce.

ZL UA can operate on-premises, in Azure cloud (as a Microsoft Gold Certified Partner), and hybrid.
