    Jim’s achievements include speaking about Covid on Bloomberg talk radio and in front of different organizations, writing about Covid for several blogs, and winning the BBB’s Ethics Award for his new ethics certification program. 

    • James J. Talerico, Jr., was requested by several organizations to talk about the Covid Crisis:
    1. As a panel guest at a Success North Dallas on-line event entitled “Navigating the Turbulence” attended by roughly 150 people;
    2. As a Cares Expert for the SBA’s Small Business Development Center  (SBDC) located in Plano, Texas where he presented his ideas for “Selling in a Post-Covid World” and “7 Essential Skills for Leading in Turbulent Times;” and
    3. As a panel moderator for the Institute of Management Consultants’ Annual Conference entitled “Consulting in a Post-Covid World” attended by almost 150 consultants around the world.

    Created a Covid-19 Survival Toolkit for Small Business

    • Jim also put together a “Covid-19 survival tool kit” for SMEs containing essential information for reopening and succeeding during the pandemic, based on his Bloomberg Talk Radio appearances and the articles he wrote for several different blog sites.

    Published an Ethics Certification Program for SMEs

    • Jim Talerico created an ethics certification program consisting of a workbook and implementation guide for SMEs entitled “8 Steps to Becoming an Ethics Focused Organization” TM Pending.

    Winner of the BBB’s Ethics Award

    • In 2021, Greater Prairie Business Consulting won the BBB’s Torch Award for Ethics for the North Texas Region for his ethics certification program.

    Jim has been a nationally recognized small business expert and thought leader for more than a decade. He provided outstanding leadership to SMEs throughout the Covid crisis, while also creating two – (2) unique products for SMEs in the US.

    Covid-19 Survival Toolkit for Small Business

    His thoughts about surviving Covid, which he assembled into a “survival toolkit” for SMEs, remains the most comprehensive product of its type available on the Internet. It includes a plethora of financial, tax, HR, safety, leadership, sales & marketing strategies, government information and business advice to help SMEs survive the Covid-19 crisis and create a comprehensive disaster plan, so they are better prepared for the next crisis.

    He offered his toolkit “pro-bono” to small business owners through the SBA’s Small Business Development Center in Plano, Texas, to members of the Institute of Management Consultants, and to his clients and prospects, and it has been available for sale on his web site for over a year.

    Ethics Certification Program for SMEs

    When small businesses look for ways to improve their focus on ethics, at present, they have very few options and usually turn to on-line learning.

    “8 Steps to Becoming an Ethics Focused Organization,” TM Pending is the only product available for small businesses looking to create a “closed loop system” for controlling ethics in their organization. Participants who complete this certification program are eligible to receive 8 CEU’s from the University of Texas at Arlington’s Division of Enterprise Development.
