During my time serving in the military, I saw the massive amount of plastic waste generated, including the shipping of plastic water bottles to the desert and the burning of those bottles in burn pits, which released harmful toxins into the environment. These experiences left a profound impact on me, and I knew I had to find a more sustainable and responsible solution to the problem of single-use water bottle waste. That’s why I created Boomerang Water” Jason Dibble, Boomerang Water
Jason Dibble, Co-Founder of Boomerang Water, served four tours of duty in Afghanistan, and was inspired to create Boomerang Water after witnessing the negative impact of single-use plastic bottles on the environment. Dibble joined forces with Jerrod Freund, a Wall Street financial expert who brought his business acumen and passion for environmentalism to the partnership. Together, they created a revolutionary product and company that is making a positive impact on the world.
According to recent estimates, over 1 million single-use plastic bottles are purchased globally every minute, and only a fraction of these are recycled, with the rest ending up in landfills or the ocean, where they can take hundreds of years to decompose. Boomerang Bottling System is a game-changing, revolutionary solution that addresses the global issue of single-use water bottle waste. The patented system uses durable and reusable aluminum and glass bottles designed for maximum returnability. Boomerang's ultrafiltration technology ensures premium quality water that is free of harmful toxins, chemicals, bacteria, viruses, and micro-plastics. By sourcing water locally, Boomerang eliminates the carbon footprint associated with shipping bottled water. Each machine bottles 3,500-4,000 water bottles per 8-hour shift and displaces up to 1 million single-use water bottles annually.
Boomerang's clients range from corporate and industrial campuses to convention centers, hotels, resorts, and cruise lines, and have recognized the potential of the Boomerang Bottling System to create a more sustainable future. Dibble’s commitment to sustainability and innovation has earned him community recognition as Lake Norman, NC's 2023 Entrepreneur of the Year and 2022 Small Business of the Year.
Jason’s leadership has enabled Boomerang Bottling System to make a significant impact in addressing the global single-use bottle waste crisis, while also providing a scalable and profitable business model that can be replicated in markets around the world. Dibble's military experience and commitment to environmental responsibility have undoubtedly played a significant role in driving Boomerang's success and impact on the environment.
Jason’s sustainability commitment is reflected in all aspects of the company's operations, from the design and production of its returnable water bottles to the sourcing of materials and the reduction of waste.
